The United Nations Development Program released its annual report this week, titled: Sustainability and Equity: A Better Future for All. The report focuses on the global link between environmental degradation and global inequality. According to the report, "environmental degradation intensifies inequality through adverse impacts on already disadvantaged people and... inequalities in human development amplify environmental degradation." The report goes on to say that economic progress will stall or even reverse in developing nations by 2050 if these issues are not addressed. Read more.
